October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is the time of year where you see pink everywhere to increase the awareness of this disease. It is also a great time to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure

I'm sure many of you have known someone affected by breast cancer. This past year, we have watched my mother and aunt battle with this disease. I feel like there is something new and exciting happening everyday with my Thirty-One business. My mom hosted a party this past weekend and it was so much fun. Boy, can her friends and our family shop! They closed out the party at $774! My favorite part of the whole day was seeing how excited my mom was to order all of HER stuff. Thirty One Launch- what a success!

I just wanted to take a minute to share how well my Launch Party went. We had a small group stop by but the party was still a success. The party closed at around $355 which meant that the hostess (me in this case!) earned $35 in free items and one half priced item. The average party closes at around $450 so I'll be excited to see what my hostesses walk away with in the future! This party totally motivated for my next few parties (my mom is hosting one next weekend and Jonathan's cousin is hosting one the weekend after that!). I had so much fun sharing these items and loved hearing how much everyone liked them!

I want to thank my sponsor, Kristen, for showing up and helping me answer a few questions when I was stumped. She was our team's top seller in July so I have some big footsteps to follow! She also let me borrow a ton of her display stuff which helped people get a better idea of what the products are really like (always a selling point). Also, a HUGE thanks to Colleen. She makes these beautiful favor boxes and took the time to make some for my party. She went above and beyond. If you ever need party invitations or favors for a party, she should be your go to girl. She does such a beautiful job!

A new venture

My friend, Kristen, recently began a new career path with the company Thirty-One. As stay-at-home moms, we had both discussed how all of the "at-home-sales" companies were just not for us and that we could never see ourselves doing something like that. Well, never say never! Kristen was introduced to thirty-One and was won over by their wonderful products. She has been having a blast and LOVES what she does. I debated and debated but the idea of selling for Thirty-One kept tugging at me. The products are fun, affordable and useful. There has not been one person I have shown them to that hasn't loved them. So, here I am now and I am SO excited to introduce my friends and family to the company.

Thirty-One is truly unlike other companies out there. Their philosophy is based on Proverbs 31.
